I so went to the wrong college, never had that TA! Anyway, in addition to all the scary stories I thought I'd let you know that I had a wonderful pregnancy with no bed rest, made it full term and in fact we had to go in and get them because they wouldn't take a hint that it was time to come out, and I was able to nurse them exclusively for 6 months. I'm no supermom and in fact struggled a great deal mentally with the lack of sleep once they came, etc. But biologically, it's not always worst case scenario. Those stories just aren't nearly as interesting to tell as the dramatic horror stories.

ReplyDeleteI think this is very true, and it becomes something of a contest "Oh, you think THAT'S bad? Wait'll you hear what happened to ME!"
ReplyDeleteDawn, thank you so much for sharing! Every story like that makes me feel a bit better.

ReplyDeletePeople love to roll out the "top this" stories of childbirth. But if you hear episiotomy - RUN!
